'09 Band Camp

Long rehearsals, high temperatures, tired chops, and another interesting thunderstorm. But, our '09 Band Camp was a HUGE success... we have much work to do, but the foundation has been set for another great year! You won't want to miss any of our performances this year.

The following students were selected as Section Leaders for the 2009 "Eagle" Marching Band:
  • Jessica Boyer - Flutes
  • Alex Durgeloh - Clarinets
  • Matt Murray - Alto Saxophones/Mellophones
  • Brad Thompson - Trumpets
  • Stephen Salazar - Low Brass
  • Corey King/Eric Heale - Drumline
  • Nikki Langford - Pit Percussion
  • Ashley Trinkle/Brittany Walker - Color Guard
Many thanks to Kelli Shannon for being such a great hostess for our Camp White experience. And, to Diane Clinton and Ari Wickwire for organizing the food necessary to feed 70 students and many adults. Finally, to the parents who volunteered throughout the week... we couldn't have done it without you. THANK YOU.

Special recognition to Ron LaPlante, freshman parent, who volunteered to work with our students on their drill and music. And, to Lorie Alsperger, Ashley Bell, Kyle Bosch, Amanda Weiss, Jim Marshall, and Krystal McCarthy for being a part of our great staff. Josh Roderick and Beth Anderson, Drum Majors... you were awesome!

Special kudos to Bill Vaughn, Ron Cunningham and Tom Shannon for lining the football field at Camp White last Sunday afternoon. Also, to Brian Hartmeier (student) for his great help with all of our equipment needs. He is the new Student Equipment Manager and will be working with our Band parents throughout the year.

Thanks to all.
