Spokane County Fair Fundraiser - free Fair admission for volunteers

Each year we help out Longhorn BBQ at the Spokane County Fair. This year they are trying to fill the schedule a little bit earlier. If you work one of the following shifts you will get a ticket that will allow you into the fair that day for free. So you could enjoy the fair before or after your shift or both that day for free. Students can work the shift themselves if they are 18 or over, or your student could work with an adult during the time. If you have any questions please call.

Rest Stop Fundraiser - Aug 9-10 - Help Needed!!!!

The West Valley Band is having a Rest Stop Fundraiser on Tuesday, August 9th and Wednesday, August 10th to raise money for the general fund. This fundraiser involves dispensing coffee and treats to motorists at the rest area for a donation. Last year we made about $1,000 and we should be able to raise that amount again if we all pitch in. We need everyone's involvement to make this fundraiser a success. Here's what you can do to help:

#1 Work a shift. We will be working at the WESTBOUND Sprague Lake Rest Area. Students can work a shift as long as there is an adult in the booth at all times. No more than three people per shift, please. Shifts are as follows:

Tuesday, August 9th
4:30 - 9:30 am
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
1:30 - 6:30 pm (Patty and Whitney Storch)
6:00 - 11:00 pm

Wednesday, August 10th
4:30 - 9:30 am
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
1:30 - 6:30 pm (Patty and Whitney Storch)
6:00 - 11:00 pm (Diane and Kelly Clinton)

If you can help out at the rest stop, please call or text Diane Clinton at 714-8746, or email at ddclinton at hotmail dot com Also, if you can work part of a shift, contact Diane because there is flexibility in the shift times.

#2 Provide treats or supplies. We need a lot of food, coffee and paper supplies donated for this fundraiser. You can either provide homemade treats, purchase treats or ask for donations. Here's what we will need:

Loaves of breakfast breads (banana, pumpkin, etc.) Either large loaves or mini loaves are great!
Muffins - again, any size will do
Donuts
Cinnamon Rolls
Pastries
Cookies - any and all kinds!
Brownies
Rice Krispie treats
Coffee
Costco canister Strawberry Lemonade
Powder Coffee Creamer
Hot Cocoa (bulk can)
12 oz foam cups

Please contact Diane Clinton and let her know what you will be providing. Items can be delivered to her house on Sunday, August 7th in the afternoon or evening, or on Monday, August 8th before 4:00 pm. Items can always be made ahead of time and frozen, and delivered to Diane before these dates. Please call Diane with any questions. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

Next Band Car Wash on Saturday, July 16 from 10am to 4pm

Reminder that there is another car wash this Saturday July 16th from 10-4. Students are encourage to come and help and earn money into their account. The car wash is at the WV Admin building on Argonne.

According to the website this car wash is supposed to be Color Guard from 10-1 and then Brass from 1-4. (But anyone can came to help out at either shift, said Sam.)

We are still looking for a Parent to help for the 1-4 shift. If you can help please let me or Patty know.

WV Band car wash this Saturday

Just a reminder that we will be having a Car Wash at the WV Admin building on Saturday July 2 10-4 All Students are welcome to come and 90% of the money earned goes into the students accounts to help pay for band related stuff next year. Like Band Camp, Uniform Fees....

We still need an adult to help with the 1-4 shift.

If you or your child is a section leader please contact or have them contact their section and remind them about the car wash.
