PARENTS – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
WVHS has enacted a new Academic Eligibility Policy this semester. If your student is failing one or more classes this semester, they must take immediate action to get this matter cleared up. If they don’t have this grade raised by Friday, February 20, they will be ineligible to participate with the Pep Band, which could include the basketball tournament. All students failing a class have been given a letter with instructions and a form that must be filled out by the teacher in whose class they are receiving a failing grade. If they don’t have a passing grade by Friday, they will be ineligible to participate at our games. Many of these students need to turn in one assignment and their grade will be raised. So, please ask your student about this and help motivate them to get the work done. Thanks.

Band Student "Housing Fee" now Due
Last fall, at the start of the school year, it was announced that there would be a "housing fee" to cover costs associated with staying overnight at certain school facilities across the state during the Fall Show competition season. Certain schools began charging a use fee for use of their facilities - this fee is not under the control of WV or Bandboosters.
Last fall, the amount of the fees was not yet known and we announced that the housing fee might be as high as $40 per student.
The good news is that with the bills in hand, the costs came in at $20 per student.
This fee is now due from each student and should be delivered as soon as possible to Mr. Loucks.
By Check (preferred): Make check out to Bandboosters and deliver in an envelope (preferred) to Mr Loucks with the student's name on the envelope.
By Cash (less preferred): Provide $20 in an envelope to Mr Loucks, with the student's name on the envelope (very important that a student name be provided).
Again, this check or cash should be delivered to Mr Loucks by your student as soon as possible. Thank you!
