Technical issues caused problems this week. Some of the videos have a "soft appearance" lacking in detail and not sharp as they should be due to an obscure technical issue. Plus newly updated encoding software had an audio defect affecting all but WV; most of the others have been re-mastered to fix that.

Why isn't my school shown? I only tape some performances. Priority is given to our school's division group, then local area schools, plus a few others.

Web site updates from Yakima?

I will provide text updates and perhaps cell phone camera photos from Yakima during the day on Saturday. Video will not be posted until some time on Sunday, however.

The video posted on Sunday will feature the highest definition, highest quality image you've ever seen online ... really.
The Harvest Marching Band Festival says it has never rained during competition ... but the NWS forecast is not so encouraging this year :) Dress warmly and bring wet weather gear. Southwest winds can make for extremely cold conditions at Zaepful Stadium.

TREATS NEEDED FOR YAKIMA TRIP

Once again, the band "food committee" is requesting treats for the upcoming band competition in Yakima. Any cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, etc. that you can provide will be much appreciated. The kids, staff and chaperones really enjoyed everything that was donated for the Kennewick trip two weeks ago! Please send in your goody donations to the band room by Friday, October 16th.

MEAL MONEY CLARIFICATION – YAKIMA TRIP

The Booster Organization is preparing three (3) meals for our trip to Yakima which is going to cost $7.00 for each student. These meals will include Breakfast and Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday. So, we’re asking that each student prepay $7.00 for these meals in order to eliminate collecting money on the trip.

In addition to these three meals, each student will need to purchase Dinner on Friday night and Lunch on Saturday. These meals will be out-of-pocket and you can use your judgment as to how much money will be needed by your student. Any questions, please email me. Thank you.

WVHS Band performs at 10:30 AM in Kennewick

This is a correction to last night's post - West Valley will perform at 10:30 am at Kennewick High School's stadium.
While a 15 minute break in the show is scheduled prior to West Valley taking the field, you generally want to have your seats at least 15 minutes prior to a performance. Seating is closed during band performances and opens up only between performances.

A video of the morning performance should be posted here on the web site during the day, Saturday.
