WV Band Car Wash - Saturday, April 23, 10am to 4 pm

Bring your dirty car in and watch it turned into a clean car! Time to get the winter grime washed off - and help band members raise funds!

Just want to remind everyone that there will be a CAR Wash tomorrow Saturday April 23rd from 10-4.

Please check with your student to see if they are scheduled to be there. If they are not sure they can text Sammy Roderick at 723-6972 and he will let them know.

Congratulations to the WV Band @ CBC - Outstanding Awards!

Congratulations to the WVHS Band Program for the following results at this past weekend's Columbia Basin College Band Festival...

Gold Medal - Wind Ensemble (Only 3 out of 9 bands received this high honor)
Silver Medal - Jazz Band
Outstanding Soloist Award - Connor Henry (Alto Saxophone - Jazz Band)

WV Wind Ensemble receives a Superior Rating at the CBC Music Festival

Today, the West Valley Wind Ensemble received a "superior" rating for their performance at the Columbia Basin College Music Festival. Way to go!

Tonight, the band attended a concert performance by world renowned trumpet player Wayne Bergeron, with additional performances by the CBC Jazz Band. Wayne Bergeron's performance was described as "phenomenal" - the students loved the performance and we hear that a few trumpet students were amazed by what they heard.

(Wayne Bergeron has performed on perhaps 150 movie sound tracks, including The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story 3, and many more.)

2011 CBC Concert Band and Jazz Band Schedule

The 2011 CBC Concert Band Festival trip is coming up on Friday April 15th.

The CBC Jazz Band Festival continues on to Saturday April 16th.

Please download and READ the 2011 CBC Concert Band Festival hand out. This hand out contains very important information for students. Students who are not prepared with their music and proper attire will be removed from the performance and be subject to a grade of 'F' for the performance. Please carefully read the handout for all information.

Saturday, April 9th - WV Band Car Wash!!!!!

Tomorrow Saturday April 9th is the first Band Car Wash of the season! Is your car all dirty from the snow and rain of the winter season? Well then bring it down to the West Valley District Office on Argonne and have the band wash it. Money raised will go into student's accounts to help them pay for their Vancouver Trip.

The car wash will go from 10-4 tomorrow.

Please come support the band.

MARCH-A-THON A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

Many thanks to the parents and students who participated in the 1st Annual WVHS Band March-a-Thon! This first-ever fundraiser of its type was a huge success due to the "tireless" efforts of all involved. Congratulations to our great student leadership for adding so much fun to this event. Results will be posted in the next week. It's Spring Break, so take some time off and get prepared for the trip of a lifetime... Vancouver... here we come!!!
