Attention new band parents & students - Follow the WV Bands program online

To help you follow the activities of the band and color guard programs, we have set up several online sites - choose what ever works for you (or several options if you wish)!
Attention Students
We have a special text message alert system. This is used only for urgent band-related announcements.
  • To get added to this list, you must send a text message FROM your cell phone TO wv "at" coldstreams.com (replace the "at" with @).
  • You are responsible for any text message charges you have on your phone. We keep the number of announcements on this list to a small number.
  • Your phone will not be added to this list until it has been reviewed by a person (which means updates to the list are not instant).
  • To be removed from the WVBands student text message list, reply to any message you receive and you will (eventually) be removed.
  • All requests to be added or removed are reviewed by a person which means it can sometimes take a few days.
IMPORTANT - because of how this urgent text message system is run, you will receive an automated text message on the 1st of every month reminding you that you are on the list. To be permanently removed from the list, reply to any message with "Stop" or "Off".

About the Online Access
All of these are run by parent volunteers/Bandboosters and not by the school district. No District resources are used in the creation or use of these online services for the band program.

Web site content, Facebook updates, text messages, and so on, are from Bandboosters, Bandboosters officers, Mr. Loucks or sometimes Mr. Bosch (Centennial MS).

The online services are set up and run by Edward Mitchell, a past band parent (3 kids now off in college or beyond). You can reach him at edward "at" coldstreams.com.

West Valley Band BBQ - Thursday, Sep 1 @ 5:30 pm at WVHS - please stop by!

This email is to invite you to the WV Band BBQ. This will be on Thursday Sept 1 @ 5:30pm out by the WV Football field. All are welcome to come enjoy some food and watch the band perform the fall show they have been working so hard on.

Last summer car wash on Saturday: Parent help needed!

Last reminder that we have our last Car Wash Tomorrow. This is the last chance to work a car wash and put some extra money into your student account.

We are still in need of Parent help for both the 10-1 and 1-4 shift. Please let Patty or Sam know if you can help.

Band fundraising car wash on Saturday, August 27

Reminder that we are having another car wash this Saturday August 27 from 10-4.

All students are welcome to come help and earn some money into their student accounts.

We could really use some parent help this weekend.

We need parents to work the 10-1 and the 1-4 shift.

Reminder: Silverwood Participants-be at WVHS at 9:45 am. Bus leaves shortly after.

Just a reminder that those of you who purchased a ticket for Silverwood as part of Band Camp. Please come to the WV High School by 9:45. the Bus will be leaving shortly after 10 am to be at the park by 11.

Parents meeting us at Silverwood should be there by 11.

If you have not purchased a ticket but would still like to go the cost is $30.00 which includes a meal. Please contact Jim Loucks to secure your ticket. This can be done right up to and before we all go into the park. A separate email was sent out with his phone #.

Band Camp starts on Monday at 7:45 am in the Band Room

MARCHING BAND
Orientation Meeting tonight at 6:00 PM - enter through the Gym entrance
Mandatory for one parent and the student - paperwork needs to be signed by both
Band Camp Fee of $110.00 needs to be paid (Includes trip to Silverwood)

BAND CAMP
Begins tomorrow morning at 7:45 AM in the Band Room
It's important that we begin on time
Wear tennis shoes and dress comfortably
