Solo and Ensemble Results
Here are the results from Saturday's EWMEA Regional Solo & Ensemble Festival, which included schools of all WIAA classifications, competing against each other:
CLINTON SLOVARP (10) - 3rd Place (French Horn Solo Division)
PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE - 2nd Place (Large Percussion Ensemble Division)
(Tanner Braun-10/Stephanie Hjortedal-11/Corey King-9/Krystal McCarthy-12/Alex Shannon-10/Evan Woolley-10)
WOODWIND ENSEMBLE - 2nd Place (Large Woodwind Ensemble Division)
(Renee Anthony-11/Stephen Draggoo-11/Stacia Kline-10/Kaitlin Sullivan-12/Jeannie Vaughn-10/
Danielle Warner-11/Aspen Wolff-11)
Although none of the above qualified for State by placing first in their division, there is a good chance that some of them will still get to go, depending on the results from the other regions. They received a "superior" rating for their performance, which is the highest you can get, and were recommended by their professional adjudicator to advance to state if the opportunity arises.
All together, our Band students received the following ratings:
10 - Superior Ratiugs (I)
17 - Excellent Ratings (II)
2 - Good Ratings (III)
All in all, it was a very successful weekend ... I'll let you know if any of our students make it to the state competition at CWU in April. Thanks for your support.
