A California sophomore suffering from renal disease is granted his wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation:

Raul asked for new drum equipment for his school, whose instruments were 12 years old. Reed, impressed that the boy wished for something so selfless, said he'd do his best, but in case he couldn't score the new drums, he asked Raul for a second wish.

That's when Raul said he'd like to meet Johnson.

Turns out, Raul got both.

"Johnson" is Scott Johnson, the director of percussion for the Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. Raul will also be spending a day with the Blue Devils.
