CONGRATULATIONS TO RENEE ANTHONY AND AMANDA McLAUGHLIN FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING SOLO PERFORMANCES AT LAST WEEKEND'S STATE SOLO & ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL.
Renee was one of 15 students chosen to compete in the Alto/Bass Clarinet Division. Amanda was one of only 23 students chosen to compete in the Flute Division. Both of these girls performed very well and represented the entire West Valley High School Band Program with great pride. Congratulations to both of you on a fine job!

THE LILAC FESTIVAL PARADE WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MAY 17, AT 7:45 PM IN DOWNTOWN SPOKANE.
You'll want to cheer on the "Eagle" Marching Band in their last Spokane performance of the year. More information later.

REMINDER ... THERE WILL BE A SAN FRANCISCO "SEND-OFF" CONCERT ON MONDAY, MAY 19, AT 6:30 PM IN THE WVHS THEATRE.
Performing will be the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Color Guard. A "mandatory" San Francisco parent/student meeting will follow.
