Rest Stop Fundraiser - Aug 9-10 - Help Needed!!!!
The West Valley Band is having a Rest Stop Fundraiser on Tuesday, August 9th and Wednesday, August 10th to raise money for the general fund. This fundraiser involves dispensing coffee and treats to motorists at the rest area for a donation. Last year we made about $1,000 and we should be able to raise that amount again if we all pitch in. We need everyone's involvement to make this fundraiser a success. Here's what you can do to help:
#1 Work a shift. We will be working at the WESTBOUND Sprague Lake Rest Area. Students can work a shift as long as there is an adult in the booth at all times. No more than three people per shift, please. Shifts are as follows:
Tuesday, August 9th
4:30 - 9:30 am
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
1:30 - 6:30 pm (Patty and Whitney Storch)
6:00 - 11:00 pm
Wednesday, August 10th
4:30 - 9:30 am
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
1:30 - 6:30 pm (Patty and Whitney Storch)
6:00 - 11:00 pm (Diane and Kelly Clinton)
If you can help out at the rest stop, please call or text Diane Clinton at 714-8746, or email at ddclinton at hotmail dot com Also, if you can work part of a shift, contact Diane because there is flexibility in the shift times.
#2 Provide treats or supplies. We need a lot of food, coffee and paper supplies donated for this fundraiser. You can either provide homemade treats, purchase treats or ask for donations. Here's what we will need:
Loaves of breakfast breads (banana, pumpkin, etc.) Either large loaves or mini loaves are great!
Muffins - again, any size will do
Donuts
Cinnamon Rolls
Pastries
Cookies - any and all kinds!
Brownies
Rice Krispie treats
Coffee
Costco canister Strawberry Lemonade
Powder Coffee Creamer
Hot Cocoa (bulk can)
12 oz foam cups
Please contact Diane Clinton and let her know what you will be providing. Items can be delivered to her house on Sunday, August 7th in the afternoon or evening, or on Monday, August 8th before 4:00 pm.
